Set up Cloudflare MCP in Claude Code

Interact with Cloudflare services including Workers, KV, R2, D1, and DNS management from your AI editor.

Locate the config file

Claude Code reads MCP server configuration from the following file:

~/.claude.json

Create this file if it does not already exist.

Add the configuration

You can configure Cloudflare MCP using the CLI command or by editing the config file directly.

Option A: CLI command

Set up environment variables

Cloudflare MCP requires the following environment variables:

CLOUDFLARE_API_TOKENRequired

Cloudflare API token

CLOUDFLARE_ACCOUNT_IDRequired

Cloudflare account ID

Verify it works

Restart Claude Code. Cloudflare MCP should appear in your MCP server list with 18 tools available.

This server adds approximately 9,270 tokens to your context window for tool definitions.
