Set up Datadog MCP in Claude Desktop

Locate the config file

Claude Desktop reads MCP server configuration from the following file:

~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

Create this file if it does not already exist.

Set up environment variables

Datadog MCP requires the following environment variables:

DD_API_KEYRequired

Datadog API key

DD_APP_KEYRequired

Datadog application key

Verify it works

Restart Claude Desktop. Datadog MCP should appear in your MCP server list with 15 tools available.
