Locate the config file

Cursor reads MCP server configuration from the following file:

Create this file if it does not already exist.

Set up environment variables

Datadog MCP requires the following environment variables:

DD_API_KEYRequired

Datadog API key

DD_APP_KEYRequired

Datadog application key

Verify it works

Restart Cursor. Datadog MCP should appear in your MCP server list with 15 tools available.
