Locate the config file

Cursor reads MCP server configuration from the following file:

Create this file if it does not already exist.

Set up environment variables

Grafana MCP requires the following environment variables:

GRAFANA_URLRequired

Grafana instance URL

GRAFANA_API_KEYRequired

Grafana API key or service account token

Verify it works

Restart Cursor. Grafana MCP should appear in your MCP server list with 43 tools available.
