Set up WordPress MCP in Continue

Locate the config file

Continue reads MCP server configuration from the following file:

~/.continue/config.yaml

Create this file if it does not already exist.

Add the configuration

Add the following to your Continue config file:

Set up environment variables

WordPress MCP requires the following environment variables:

WORDPRESS_URLRequired

WordPress site URL

WORDPRESS_USERNAMERequired

WordPress admin username

WORDPRESS_APP_PASSWORDRequired

WordPress application password

Verify it works

Restart Continue. WordPress MCP should appear in your MCP server list with 10 tools available.

This server adds approximately 5,150 tokens to your context window for tool definitions.
